Losing my father at 14 was the kind of heartbreak that leaves a permanent imprint. It was my first experience with deep grief, and it forced me to grow up quickly, learning how to process pain, uncertainty, and responsibility well before most of my peers had to.

Over time, that loss taught me that adversity doesn’t have to define you—it can refine you. I began to see struggle as a source of strength and empathy, not just something to survive. That early experience shaped how I approach challenge, growth, and perspective—for myself and now, for the men I coach who are navigating their own personal storms.
